Passed 217 today, but glad no score

| This was my first pass/fail and I'm really glad I didn't see the score- I did not feel good about this exam while taking it all. The first 6 questions were the hardest (read wordiest) on the exam, so I never relaxed. In retrospect, the wordiness of the questions was what made it so hard for me (I was well-prepared, but tired due to sick child). Took the exam in a testing room that turned out to be the storeroom behind a computer fix-it shop with no door between testing area and retail space. Noisy.
More than half of the questions were over one screen long. Only a few gimmies. I was relieved every time one came up that didn't ill the whole screen. Only one easy drag and drop. GPOs were hit the hardest. Only one authoritative restore question. Seems like my exam was the direct opposite of Sexy Lexy's.
On to 216 - my very last exam since I already did 219 and my NT MCSE +I electives are still good.
On to a nap - deserve it after this test.

| Congrats and look for another testing location! Those conditions are unacceptable - no door so you could hear retail sales going on??? | |

| Hard to believe - most other test sites I've used have been quiet at least. Sometimes an old classroom, sometimes plush carpeted space, sometimes lots of room to spread out papers, sometimes not.
I picked this place after looking for a new center that had Saturday testing. No one in DC does, and the last couple places made me use a little slate rather than paper. Being of the old school, I am very partial to paper and my own #1 pencils (yes, we all have our little things, also wear the same lucky earrings every time). Took one memorable exam on a 14" dark monitor - a Novell exam yet with their simulator. This place met all my concerns during my phone interview, I never thought to ask if it was quiet! I did complain after though.

| Okay, from now on 216 will be referred to as the scary monster in the testing closet!
Anyway, Joan, congrats on the pass!

| Actually, the Exchange 5.5 exam used to be called the "beast". It was only 30 questions and very hard. The hardest exam I've taken, except 70-240 which I don't even count, was Windows NT 4 Enterprise. It was adaptive, 25-35 questions, no marking, no going back, once you answered you moved on. The questions were based on how you did on the first 5 questions. They were the toughest I've ever seen. In fact I had decided if question #6 was anything like the first 5 I was getting up and going home. I finished with getting only 25 questions which took about 35 minutes. | |

| Couldn't agree with you more. My Enterprise was not adaptive, but very wordy and long. I thought I may not finish it. It was the only exam I've ever taken where I went down to the wire on time (and I've taken 16 MS and Novell). I never relaxed during that exam, or in fact on this one either. Usually I do relax about question 10.
After I finished Enterprise, rather than going to the desk and getting my score, I went to the Ladies room and lost my lunch! I rather felt like this after this exam too. I checked over my marked questions then hit done. Didn't want to stay there one more minute.
And yes, lets stop calling 216 The Beast. Setting myself up here. Its my last exam, then on to a masters - that has to be easier!!!!

| There's no doubt, 216 is hard but it is passable and passable on the first try. Even though it is hard, I thought it was pretty fair. Expect a lot of RRAS questions. I still think Enterprise was harder. | |

| Don't worry. A pass is a pass no matter what. On to your next conquest. |
