I just completed the MCSA (may 30th) and want to finish the 4 exams for the MCSE. This is the order I was thinking about taking them in. Anyone have their own opinions or order?

70-217 3 weeks

70-219 6 weeks

70-216 (THE BEAST) 9-10 weeks

70-224 12 weeks

the order sounds perfect to me. Make sure to prepare for the 217 and the 219 at the same time to save you time.

I see you want to take the 224 test. Is that the Exchange test?

Freak Yes - it is the Installing, Configuring, and Administering MS Exchange 2000 Server.

RUSH2112 though you have set yourself target dates make sure you don't stick to them if you are not happy that you will pass and you feel weak in some areas.

Freak Yes, as Wbafrank stated 70-224 is Exchange 2000. I have it and will install it and tinker with it. I think it will be interesting to mess around with. I am going to try to have an exchange server here at home, so I can get a feel for troubleshooting and administring it. I thought the course I was on was a good way to go, but I may end of saving the "Beast" for last. This test scares me as I have seen many a person XXXXX about it and few who have gotten slain by it. All I can do it try to tame it.

WbaFrank Thanks for the advice on the target dates, but as you stated they are just target dates. I won't schedule the exam until I am scoring fairly well on practice tests. I then schedule the exam for a couple days after that, to "pressure" myself to fine tune any weak areas and strengthen what I already know. It seems to have worked quite well for me. Any idea where I can find some good notes and practice tests?
