Q44. You have two WAN links named Link A and Link B both are setup with the default costs. How do you make Link A the preferable link for most of the connection attempts? (Choose all that apply)

A. Lower the cost of link A

B. Lower the cost of link B

C. Raise the cost of link A

D. Raise the cost of link B

You can do either A or D. The default value is 100. The lowest cost recieves priority.

I would select 'A' & 'D",ie. lower the cost of WAN 'A', OR raising the cost of WAN 'B'.

And the answer is ....

Correct Answers: A and D

The link with a lower cost will be used. This comes in handy when you are dealing with slow connections to remote offices. You can set the cost of all of your branch offices to 50 and set the cost of your main office to 1. This will insure that the branch offices will not attempt to talk directly to each other first.
