| And today's poser is ....
Q16. You need to install Active Directory services on a Windows 2000 Server. Which methods can you use to launch the Active Directory Installation Wizard? (Choose all that apply)
A. Run DCPROMO from the Run dialog box.
B. Run ADSETUP from the Run dialog box.
C. Run Configure Your Server on the Administrative Tools menu of the Start menu.
D. Run Install Active Directory on the Action menu of the Active Directory Sites and Services console.
Good Luck .... see you tomorrow for the answer!! | |
|
| A and C
A- Correct, DCPROMO is used install active directory on a standalone Windows 2k server.
b- This tool does not exist.
C- This is the large box you get when you first install windows 2000 server and has links to all the Networking services you can install.
D- Not possible as AD Sites and Services is not installed untill you run and complete DCPROMO. | |
|
| A and C is right... and remember, if you install AD, you will need a valid DNS server or else the upgrade to DC will not work! | |

| My pick:
A. Run DCPROMO from the Run dialog box.
--------------------------------------
I know this "configure your server screen" was lauch on the desktop, don't think it's in the start menu ie. C. Run Configure Your Server on the Administrative Tools menu of the Start menu. | |
