And today's poser is ....

Q15. You are creating site links and have chosen SMTP replication as the replication protocol. What are the advantages of using this protocol? (Choose all that apply)

A. SMTP does not require a CA.

B. SMTP can replicate over site links and within a site.

C. SMTP enables uniform high-speed, synchronous replication.

D. SMTP traffic can be secured, monitored, and managed across a WAN environment.

E. SMTP can replicate information over a network backbone that is not based on TCP/IP.

Good Luck .... see you tomorrow for the answer!!

My pick is :

My answer is D

A. Incorrect: If you choose to use SMTP over site links, you must complete the process of installing and configuring a certification authority (CA). The CA signs SMTP messages that are exchanged between domain controllers, ensuring the authenticity of directory updates.

B. Incorrect: SMTP replication is only used for replication over site links (inter-site), and not for replication within a site (intra-site).

C. Incorrect: SMTP is asynchronous.

D. Correct: The SMTP traffic can be secured. Because it use CA.

E. .. I think it's incorrect.

And the answer is ....

Correct Answers: D and E

A. Incorrect: The CA is responsible for ensuring the authenticity of directory updates. SMTP replication requires you to complete the process of installing and configuring a CA.

B. Incorrect: SMTP replication is used only for replication over site links (intersite). It is not used for replication within a site (intrasite).

C. Incorrect: SMTP enables low-speed, asynchronous replication between the schema, configuration, and global catalog directory partitions.

D. Correct: When sites are on opposite ends of a WAN link, it may not be desirable or possible to perform synchronous IP replication. Asynchronous SMTP replication provides store-and-forward transport necessary for the WAN environment.

E. Correct: SMTP replication is best used where RPC-over-IP transport is not possible, such as an X.400 network backbone.
