I'm gonna pull out "A" and "C"

I know that AD database would be in exclusive mode if you were online, so DS restore mode is a must.

A and C are right as any type of restore or activity done with the AD database, you must enter in AD Restore Mode. The Esentutil is what you use to defrag the .DIT database. You can acces this utility through NTDSUTIL.

Just some background Information.

And the answer is ....

Correct Answers: A and C

The Windows 2000 directory service opens its files in exclusive mode. This means the files cannot be managed while the system is operating as a domain controller. You therefore must start the Server in Directory Services Restore Mode.

Mode of Operation:
Defragmentation: ESENTUTL /d<database name>[options]
Recovery: ESENTUTL /r[options]
Integrity: ESENTUTL /g<database name>[options]
Upgrade: ESENTUTL /u<database name>/d<previous>
File Dump: ESENTUTL /m[mode-modifier]<filename>
Repair: ESENTUTL /p<database name>[options]
