| Whassup all? I have been trying to get back into the groove since the new year started. 217 was the starting point. I completed 210 and 215 last year. I havent posted since 215.
First, I would like say thanx to all of posters who share comments and advice. It all helps.
Like some of you stated in your posts, this exam can be summed up in two words: DNS and GPO. I was "lucky" enough to get the new MS format (pass/fail, no score, 63 questions). I counted 26 questions dealing explicitly with DNS and GPOs. These two components are the heart and guts of AD so you are going to have to know them whether it's on the job or for an exam. The sooner, the better.
For studying, I used Exam Cram, Transcenders, and ExamNotes. I cant say that any questions were verbatim but all of the concepts were represented. Don't try to memorize this stuff...it doesnt help you now of when you need it in the field. For real, it's not that hard. Good luck all. Onward to 70-219. Later! | |

I didnt believe it when i read about it, but MS has gone to a pass/fail format for some exams. The exam that I got was 63 questions and they allotted nearly three hours. To me, that is half of the battle, being seated for so long. I would suggest that when you take some practice exams, make sure that you can stomach at least two of the three hours in one seat without any distractions. I was almost stir crazy.
I'm gonna move on to 70-219 and then finish up with 70-216 aka "the beast." Everyone is telling me how hard 216 is so I figure that i would save it for last, ya know?
