Here comes Thursday's Question:

You are hired by Fabrikam, Inc., to secure its Windows 2000 network. You use Security Templates to create a custom template and save it as Securefab.inf. You need to use this template on five domain controllers in the fabrikam.com domain.

What should you do? (Choose two)

A. Copy the Securefab.inf file to the Sysvol shared folder on one domain controller.
B. Create a new security database.
C. Import the Securefab.inf file.
D. Rename Securefab.inf to Ntconfig.pol
E. Create a Group Policy object on the Domain Controller Organizational Unit.

No Deja-Vue, I got that same question on the actual MS Cert test. I took a crack it on Monday and failed. I do remember that question though! By the way, great job with the "question of the day!"

Guys, a quick question...
what is the "pass mark" for the 70-217 exam?
I know its the pass/fail that they use now, its just to get some idea when using Transcenders....

Funny Dogpawz, I was just sitting here with a co-worker who is an MCSE and I just asked him where that site is forthe MS test results. I think it is on brainbuzz.com

Here is the Answer: C & E was correct!
The Security Configuration and Analysis tool is used to analyze and configure security settings. Preconfigured template files (stored in Systemroot\security\templates)
are used for analysis and to customize for specific security needs. These settings can be exported to an .inf file and applied to a Ggroup Ppolicy Object (using the Group Policy Editor or you can apply them directly to a specific computer using the Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in).

I can think that we all agree that your questions are a challenge, but are fun to do!- They especially break the daily drudge where I work!

Yes it breaks up my daily boredum <sp?> reading the posts and the challengin questions. Really slow in IT over the holidays because everyone is taking vacation. Well, I guess I did not get this one, here or on the MS test. I was thinking C + E at first, but thought you needed to create a database first, then import the inf, finally applying it through a policy?
