| Actually, I stayed away from those other forums because of the constant questions of the day. They swamp a forum, and make it hard to find real peoples questions. Probably just me, but if this one gets swamped too - I'll bail out. | |

| Many people agree, that the QOD's help people, i had this confirmed by many members.
Tut mir sehr leid, dass du so darueber denkst, dwatts
I can't make 'em all happy.

| QOD is a valuable tool Deja. Not just for preparing for an exam but also for keeping your hand in. Keep it up. | |

The reason I stay with these forums is the QOD. They help out more then people think.
Keep it up!! | |

| Thanks, everyone, for the support!

| I kinda skip over the QODS now, but they are indespensible when you are preparing to take the test. I'm sure what you have to contribute will be helpfull for those that are getting ready for the exam. Keep up the good work. Anyone who takes the time amd effort to contribute, should be welcome. | |

| Yup - came in today - and this forum is all spammed up. As I said - I shall now bail out and will no longer visit this forum. good luck with 70-217 all! | |

| dwatts, why not a 217 anecdote of the day???
Your in depth knowledge would be an awesome addition!

| I have to chime in here and first off tell Deja KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! You have helped more people than you will ever realize by taking the time out of your day to create and post a valid question for others to help prepare for the MS exams.
dwatts, I am shocked by your input I respect what you contribute when you contribute, but to not visit a forum because somebody is trying to help by responding to the wishes of the masses is just a$$inine! I'm sure that you are quite intelligent and I'm sure your employees think that you are da' man and all of that, but to stop visiting a forum for the simple fact that members are actively participating in a daily question is ludicrous. Use the freaking sroll wheel on your mouse and simply move past the question of the day post - the forum is not, as you put it, spammed up with question of the day posts. Try helping instead of bailing when you don't get what you want in life.
I'm very disappointed that a professional and someone who's been praised by many has an attitude like this - do us all a favor dwatts - start your very own website with forum community and ban all helpful questions of the day in your world.
Sorry if this post comes off pi$$y, but hey, that's how I feel very early this morning.

Geez, you want a little cheese with that whine dwatts?
Last time I remember this was an exam certification forum. How difficult is it too actually sift past the QoD posts?
Care to elaborate on how the question of the day posts "spam" up a forum or does that require too much effort as well?
Oh well, goodbye http://www.plauder-smilies.de/wave.gif

| Wow! You Guys are awesome!
I came back from Vegas last night, going over some posts here in this Forum, and i must say, i didn't expect such great support from you!
Too bad dwatts doesn't understand that i am not doing this for money or fame or anything like that.
I am just posting these Questions to truly help other members ( as well as myself)
passing their next test.
So i will continue... | |

We appreciate it! It takes up a lot of your time & truly helps out others! I posted a QOD back in the 70-218 forum for about a month or so, it just got to be too time comsuming. So I respect the effort too! Thanks again Deja!
P.S. How was Comdex? | |

| This has nothing to do with Deja...
However,
DWATTS is a very experienced and well recoginized industry proffessional.(humble too I might add). With Bonafide enterprise level experience with AD. Outside of passing the exam this translates to getting the job done.
Spid,cmon man.

| What do you mean cmon?
Deja posts on 11/18 how he'd like to post a QoD. A whole 2 QoD's later in about a 30 hour timeframe dwatts posts about the forum being "spammed" up and leaving.
Yes, it bothers me that someone who has a great deal of experience and knowledge and has the ability to share that knowledge with everyone here, would choose to flat out leave the forum because he deems QoD posts as spamming a forum up. They don't prevent people from asking the "real-world" questions he likes to field and they aren't that difficult to navigate around.
Maybe I over-reacted, and if I did, I'll be the first one to apologize to him, but his posts in this thread came off wrong to me and struck a nerve.

| I'd like to think that everyone's input is welcome, as long as it pertains to the topic, with the intent to help. I don't know dwatts other than reading books that he has writen. I would like to see his contributions to this forum along with the QODs.
But the world is as it is: Cats-Dogs; Oil-Water; paisley-plaid; sadly it appears that some things just don't mix. Why can't the world be like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups? Hey you got chocolate in my peanut butter!!!
Nope don't worry, I'm not going softy-idealistic on you all. Just not happy to see people being childish going either way. Let's get back to the topic? |
