| me? I dunno... 2002-11-04, 2:06 am |
| I created folders for the respective files at c:\winnt\replmon and c:\winnt\repadmin and installed the files to those folders.
Attempting to run either one of them from the gui only resulted in a brief flash of a command prompt environment, then nothing. Attempting to run them from a command prompt resulted in a 'not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file' message.
I installed sp3 from the MS site, now I can run repadmin from the command prompt, but still no replmon, how come? | |

| Hmm, by default the tools go into "C:\program files\Support Tools" and the installer puts that into the path. So theoretically, you can just type in "repadmin" or "replmon" from either the "Run" box or the command window. I would try reinstalling it and not worry about putting it in different folders because you may have forgotten about a .dll that replmon needs to run. Not really sure though on that one. | |

| I looked and saw that I had no c:\program files\support folder so I deleted the folders I had created and installed THE ENTIRE SUPPORT TOOLS FOLDER, this went without a hitch and I now have access to both replmon and repadmin, though I only have access to repadmin from the command prompt, not the run command or explorer gui. |
