| How tough can it be, I have done my course for 217 prep, test preps and optionla books. I feel as though I am prepared but perhaps i might be missing something. What might there be that i am not aware of. I am planning on sitting it this coming Thursday. | |

| Well, Troytech is a braindump. If you're taking the braindump route, what else could you need? | |

| You have enough documentation, Troytech excluded, of course. The biggest thing for 216 and 217 is get hands on.
To pass an exam is a three phase approach:
Theoretical: Read books, take notes, research on the web.
Practical: Work with the product, use the Step by step and How to guides from the Microsoft Web site, work through examples in your text books, and just plain goof around.
Exam Prep: Use legitemate practice exams to get ready for the exam environment.
Each phase can feed back into the other. Example: your are doing something in the lab and the results are just plain terrible, so you go back to the books. Or you are practicing Transcenders and you get a question about a particular dialogue box, so you go back to the lab to work through the various dialogue boxes.
You have enough books, just create and follow a stuctured approach. I even like to create a calendar in Outlook.
Of course, continually refer back to the exam objectives and appropriate course outlines from Microsoft.
This one is not quite as bad as 216, yes lots of long wordy questions, but the material is just not as deep.

i read superficially the mocs chapters and is not too deep. and is important to know in deep all this concepts and implementation, as i must use all this stuff day by day on my job!!

| How do you tell the difference between a braindump and a legitimate exam practice software? | |
| jeff_j_black 2002-10-21, 4:11 pm |
| Microsoft explicitely lists a couple of vendors. Plus most large publishers, the kind where you can by the book at the book store, have test engines so you can start there, or just look out for prison uniforms? | |

| You could always ask. Didn't take long to find out from here - did it? |
