I'm finally done with the 4 core and this was not too bad of a test. I have found the electives to be much harder. There is a lot of practice exams out there for this one, and a saw a lot of somewhat similar questions to the prac exams. MS Press puts out a nice book for this test with a nice practice lab you can set up. I've been working with 2000 for about a year and the hands on isn't necessary but it helps.
