Passed 216 yesterday

| 5/7 for me. 60 questions. You've got to know your certificates and your RRAS stuff, as well as NAT, inside and out. Be real familiar with DHCP and DNS, as well as configuration of inside/outside NIC's and what services/protocols to enable/disable to secure a network.
My score was pass, no # given, and I don't care to know. Just glad to have slayed it on the 2nd try.
214 or 227 is next /all that is left, then MCSE + Security will be wrapped up.

| I took 210, 215, 220 and 217 BEFORE 216. I recommend taking the core 4 first, with 216 being the last test taken in the core 4. 217 did a lot to prep me for 216. | |
|
| WTG, what did you use to study?? | |

| In order of relevance:
1. Mike Myers Certification Passport, MCSE Windows 2000, written by Rory McCaw. Probably the best, most concise presentation of material.
2. Sybex 70-216 book, hardcover.
3. IP Fundamentals (too get a grasp of subnetting), by Thomas Maufer.
4. O'Reilly books on DNS and DHCP in Windows 2000.
5. Like I said, a lot of stuff I learned in prep. for 70-217.
I also reviewed brain dumps, which, while not explicitly providing the answers ahead of time, pointed me into the areas where I needed to best focus my studying.

That's where you lost me.

Never liked extreme of any kind - politics, religious or anti-braindumpers. Sorry...
Congratulations CaffeineMe!

You're right! I apologize for being anti-braindump. In fact I call upon all the certifying authorities to provide correct answers prior to the tests. This way, braindumps will be uneccessary, and you will have what you what - ALL THE CORRECT ANSWERS. Better yet, why don't we just save us all a lot of money and entirely eliminate professional certifications altogether. After all, if everyone has all the answers, the tests no longer have any value.

What a sarcasm! I'm happy I never met you on dark way at night
Well, You think it's better if people who have seen what is it - braindump, never say they have seen these very bad things? I prefer if people are honest. And I hope they will came to this conclusion themselves - yes, braindumps are something not for professionals.
