Hi Folks,

I am Realllly Struggling to get to grips with subnetting, I've read previous threads and tried my best to work things through but it's like dotted decimal is my achilles heel. Has anyone got a decent "rule of thumb" that I can apply.

TIA

I found that 3com's Subnetting paper was the easiest way for me to learn to subnet TCPIP. There is quick methods but the best way by far is to understand what you are doing by breaking IP's down into binary.
