| The other day i changed my domain from mixed mode to native mode just to get some extra functions and today when i try and edit group policy, even ones i create i get:
Failed to open the Group Policy Object. You may not have appropriate rights.
Details:
Incorrect function
Has anybody ever had this happen before. I hope the blaster virus isn't still circulating on my PC or something.

| do you have appropriate rights,
you got to be a domain admin, enterprise admin, or the group policy creator owner to edit the GPO

| And that, of course is dependent on the focus of group policy, whether you are choosing Domain, Domain Controllers, Site, OU or Local Policy. You have to examine your permissions to that particular object. | |

| I installed the OS so i am a member of the Enterprise admin group.
I checked permissions. I think the virus i had did some damage to the registry settings.
I will do a low level format after i finish studying 216. Thank goodness the exam doesn't focus on group policy. |
