setup a couple client computers 2000/XP. along with AD on the DC.

You should be able to plan this out after going through Network+ and 2 MCPs.

The ideal one would be multiple forests, multiple trees, multiple domains with parent-child relationship, multiple sites. Windows 2000 Pro, XP Pro, 98, 95. A few DCs, a couple of DHCP servers, a couple of DNS servers. Some servers for RAS, RIS, etc. Better still, have some Novell, UNIX, Apple in your environment. There are questions mentining these systems in the exams you know?

Actually, it'll be very enough if you can have 2 servers and 1 client. And if you don't have enough RAM, you don't have to run all the VMs at the same time. Just get enough RAM to run 2 VMs at the same time will do.

So the minimum that I can suggest is:
1. Set up your host machine as 2000 Pro.
2. Set up 2 VMs. Both 2000 Server. Or 1 Server 1 Advance Server.

Have fun and good luck!

Do you expect us to have all this in a home Lab. Wishful thinking.

I have 2 PC's with Adv 2k server and 1 PC with w2k Pro. I still am not sure of what to put on the 2nd server. Any ideas. Maybe set up 2nd domain or something. Ohh and just when i thought formatting my Netware server hdd was a goog idea, i read a chapter on Netware connectivity with w2k...doh!
