216 should be two exams

| just my thoughts that the 70-216 exam really should be two seperate exams. There is to much for one test to accurately test. That and not having the break down of how you did on different sections is probably one of M$ biggest load of things they have done. If you fail the exam you have no idea where you weak points are so you have no idea on what to spend more time studying on. You have to start all over like you never took. In my opinion thats just M$ wanting more money. | |

| By breaking 216 into two exams, Microsoft can make more money. Wondering why are they not doing so!? | |

| They are already making a ton of money off this one exam with people needing to take it 3 and 4 times mainly because there is no feedback to let them know their weak points. | |

| VenonBlade,
Breaking 216 in two exams, that's a point of view. But, in my opinion 216 works like a filter. Disjoining "test cheaters" from the good professionals. There's a lot of material and concepts to learn and achieve, but it's a prep for the soul and my mind. That's my point of view.
I don't want to act as a devil's advocate, but 216 it's the Great invisible wall. The Cerberus of the hell of system engineers. Even those who plan to cheat it, must spend time and brain cells.
Peace

Yes that's true, I don't like breaking 216, I think for someone have any Cisco certificate like VenomBlade, from my point of view I can tell that CCNA certificate cover some of the must tricky objectives, IP addressing, RIP, OSPF, Access list filters concept, etc..
yes MS treats them differently but when you have that concepts that help you much.
Sorry English???
I hope I could explain my self

| If you work through all of the exam objectives, installing and configuring each of the services etc., you will be prepared.
If you did not pass this one, take the time while it is fresh in your mind and select the top three topics where you had difficulty in answering the questions. Drill down on those three topics. Go back to the Microsoft Ceritification and Training website and review the Exam Objectives and related Course Descriptions. Make sure you can check off each item. Best of luck.
P.S. I failed this one on my first attempt, I went in with a 'good enough' attitude, it cost me $100. I did not feel bad however as it gave me the chance to really learn the topics I would have missed out on had I barely passed.

Hey guys….
Why you are concentrating on the exam difficulty, I feel like loosing my confident.
Is it that level of hardness?
If it is very difficult like what you said, so I didn’t get what my study book talking about.
I thought I can pass, but now I feel deferent.
And what about 217 exam, is it the same.

| I would not be discouraged or fearfull. Just take the warning and proceed. If you are comfortable with the exam objectives you will be fine. | |

| adam salam,
My advice, don't fall in the "good enough" attitude that Jeff said.
It cost much more than $80, in part, because the exchange rate. But, it hit my confident.
Don't give up! Learn all the concepts. Read 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5 times, whatever.

That's why it's best to pass it the first time.
At the time I took it, I hadn't had an income in 9 months, I couldn't afford to be paying an extra $125 in irreplaceable savings for a second attempt, which is plenty of incentive to make good on the first go.
