Please help.

Setup:

DC: Primary DNS server
Member server: Secondary DNS Server

First check root hints, then restart DNS and type nslookup DNS_server_IP_address setquerytype=NS

hmm...um familiar with root hints. but i see a listing of them. should i configer any forwarders?..still stomped.

Recursive Query: a request from a host to a resolver to find data on other name servers.

So yes, you need to configure a forwarder in order for rescursion to do its thing.

And as NetChild pointed out, restart the DNS Service if it doesn't already do it after you configuring forwarding.
