Hi there, new to this section of the forum, just passed 70-218 and ready to start tackling 70-216.

Any news on the best resources for studying for this exam. I have the Microsoft Press book for this exam, but what else is recommended.

General vibe is that this exam is actually going to test us? Is this true?

It is best to get some hands on with the various network services in a lab of some sort. At least two networked computers really helps to get ready for this one. Depending on your experience with networks and Windows 2000 in general, this is one of the harder MCSE exams. Good Luck!

Thanks Jeff, I am working in a Windows 2000/NT environment and we have recently crossed over to an Active directory server. Looks like I will have a very big test network

As far as books go, is the MS Press book for 70-216 a good book to use, or is there another book I should rather be using?

I dont know if any one book will provide a complete picture of 216. My book did not cover subnetting for example. But any book will provide you with a decent outline to study by. Just make sure to refer to the networking sections of the resource kit on Technet and do some other general web searches if you are hazy on a topic.
