| I don't want this to be taken the wrong way, but if wbafrank does not have the time to moderate the 70-215 and 70-216 forums like he used to maybe a co-moderator should be elected if the Webmaster is ok with it.
I think NetChild1985, Deja-Vue, Tech Ranger, Slinky or jeff_j_black would be great co-moderators for either of these forums.
What do you guys think?
(I'll post this in the 70-215 forum as well).

| You have my support. No offense to wbafrank, however he is just not active enough as of lately. | |

| Thanks for the nomination Spid. I sent a PM to the webmaster last night saying that more moderators were needed, especially in the Microsoft forums. We seem to be getting alot of spam nowadays, and need more people to squash this stuff before it gets out of control. | |

Do you think he will answer? He never answers me.

| Having taken a couple of months off - what with numerous contracts and setting up a small business I am now back.
This forum is, and always will be, a place where knowledge is passed on to those who what to learn.
Many of you will know that I will not stand for any advertising of braindumps, cheatsheets or trying to sell illegal literature.
I would be grateful if members would report posts to me and I will take the appropriate action.
All said and done - it's nice to be back and I look forward to exchanging views and ideas again!!

Viva la wbafrank! | |

| I'm glad you are back!
It's difficult to inform you of naughty posts when the Webmaster currently has the email functionality disabled.
Sorry frank, I've been a member of this forum for a long time and it just bothers when a moderator seems to basically go AWOL for an extended period of time because the forum can go downhill so quick. I don't recall seeing a post of yours stating that you were going to be away. Actually, the only reason I knew you were working long hours on a job was through the grapevine here on this forum. I think Deja posted something to that effect months ago.
Fact of the matter is you were not here on several occations when the "spam" needed cleaning, and you are definitely not as active as you used to be. I work full time, have a newborn girl and a family as well, so my plate is full too. The post was not asking for you to step down, you did/do a great job moderating, it's stating that a co-moderator (which has been succesful in other forums on this site) might be a good idea.
Are you against a co-moderator? You reply seems to insinuate that (imho)
Again, glad you're back

No problem Deja. I hope my previous post didn't come off too harsh, it was not my intent. I was having a tough evening.

| I will reaffirm my suggestion of a few months ago when we had a similar situation in another forum. there should be more than one moderator per forum, just in case one has to go away for a while.
maybe we should suggest to webmaster that we run polls for each of the busy forums to get at least two moderators voted for by the users.
Obviously current moderators should stay unless they want to step down.
By the way when ever I have PM'd the webmaster i have normally received a reply, maybe not the same day but usually that week
| wbafrank 2003-03-05, 6:12 pm |
| I agree that there should be 2 moderators per forum not only because of how busy the forums can get but because of the time difference we have.
Therefore, I would suggest that one moderator should come from Europe and the other from US/Canada etc.
This way, when I'm in bed, at least the site is still being moderated.
Any thoughts ......
Thanks for the "welcome back" messages.

I found it easier to e-mail the Webmaster - I got more joy that way!!

| Good point, however the e-mail function has been disabled. | |
