Just wondering how long people take to study/prepare for this exam?

i have just completed 210+215 and am eager to get on and nail 216+217, but it seems that these exams are much broader in scope, and are gonna take a lot more time to complete....

Hi !

I have taken 210,215,218,217 (in that order) and I prepared for the tests about 3 weeks per test and that was enough in my case. Sitting right now studying for 216 and as I feel, it will take maybe 4-5 weeks before I go for it. I bit harder than the others.........Go get it

TCP/IP and AD are much more involved technologies than the nuts and bolts of the Server and Workstation OSs covered in 210 and 215. I don't know how peole do these things quickly. I am now studying AD, and it is a humongous subject.

I agree. 70-216 is even bigger in scope than AD. Microsoft only tests you in a few main areas in 70-216, (RRAS, DNS, WINS, IPSec, DHCP, and PKI), but it just explodes into a big mess after that. There is sooo much information that you'll need to know in each of those areas that it just makes studying a long and drawn out process. It took me a good 4 months just to get ready for it, but it paid off. Don't rush this exam, otherwise you WILL fail.

I'd have to lean in the 'several months' catagory as well. I spent a lot of lab time and research for additional information, beyond the text book, on this one. But I learned how to study from this one!
me? I dunno...

I'm just lately noticing a lot of things I had to really struggle with in the process of learning 217 that are familiar to me now. I'm hoping to get through in 3 months.
