Passed this 70-216 !!!
Difficult though, be prepared to go deep into the material, before taking the dive.

Resources used :
Microsoft Press
MCSE 70-216 Training Kit
* Nice video to watch , but a bit too fast.
Though didn'nt read much of the book and the reviews.

New Rider
70-216 Training Guide
*Basics, a bit outdated. But none the less, they used to be great.

Mark Minasi 's Mastering Win2000 2nd Edition
* Good documentation on DNS
* Somewhat difficult to find resources when you need, I think it's pretty 'Thick'- Like scalping through the Amazon jungle, to look for the 'hidden temple of Treasure'.

Trascenders

Troubleshooting Windows 2000 TCP/IP
Debra Little John Shinder
Thomas W. Shinder
* Selective Reading ,especially in the Network Monitor Arena, DNS, WINS

Cramsession 's 'Quick & Dirty Subnetting'.

Check out also Microsoft Technet, free video CBT nuggets 's on NAT & IP Addressing.

In my opinion , the difficulty level are as follows : (Top the hardest)

70-219 (Not the case, If u have a strong command of English)

70-217 (As in above )

70-216 ( Read more , understand Routing, Subnetting right to the 'bit', Interoperative with Non-MS OS, CA, IAS ...)

70-215 ( Reading just fine)

70-210 ( Reading just fine )

Completed my Core Exams. Though a bit disappointed that the 'beast' was not as bad as I thought.

Almost thought I had to retake the exam, when the computer hangs when I was asked to put comments into the Microsoft questions in the end.
Have to wait for 20 minutes, for the Supervisor to come back from lunch to retrieve the sessions that went wrong. The support IT staff nodded his head and said," I'm not trained in this', when the clerk asked him to help. Though he was wearing a tie, and looks suave, but couldn't handle the problem. I thought, are the so-call IT people so incompetent these days? Boy, I think I can do a better job. But I guess I was pretty 'hot' in that instance. What the hell.

Well, 2 more to go. Back to the drawing- board

Sounds like you were in shape for 216. I'm surprised to see 219 ranked harder though!

I did think 217 was on the same par as 216.

Congrats!!!

Are you MCSE yet?

Hi Jeff, not yet, still have to get pass 2 more exams. I probably go for the design exam 221 , then I figure out I probably go for the 222 migration exam to complete the magic 7- MCSE 2K then.
I know I pretty behind, news like Windows 2003 Server coming up, really created the urgency
But I'll finish off what I 've started, hopefully not later the June this Year.

How's your Exchange 2000 Exams going ?Been's sometime since I've last seen your post

Yes, as I for the rating of 219 being the hardest, I think I've problem with reading & comprehending long-long paragrahs after paragraphs I guess I dont' read much as I wanted to
