Hi all!!
Can anyone explain the differences between a direct dial-up connection to a RAS server and a VPN connection and which would you use and when?
Any help would be great.
Cheers!

A direct dial up connection is where you use a modem on your computer and you dial a number to another modem on the RRAS computer. A VPN is where you connect to the RRAS computer over an existing public connection, like the internent. Make sense?

Yeh! Simple as that I take it!lol
Think I was getting a bit bogged down with why you would use one solution and not the other - didnt find many senarios in this department..
