| It was a long, draw-out 3 hour battle. There was no way of knowing whether or not I was doing any harm to the beast. Its armor and its attacks were formidable! Finally, it rolled over and breathed its last. | |

| Yes, I did A+ after 216. It was a breeze.
On the 216 test:
There were quite a few questions about subnetting (# of subnets, # of hosts) but they were all very straight forward.
There were quite a few RRAS type routing questions also (these ate a lot of my time because that was a weak point for me).
A couple of questions involving DHCP error log messages. In one case, it appears that the server was not a member of the domain and that it was not authorized in the domain it was supposed to be a member of. A similar one involved trying to get to the RIS server.

| Congratulations mcdoud!
I've got to stand up to the beast in a few weeks! Can I just ask if you had much time left at the end? I hear that the questions in this one are very long!!

Yes, the questions are pretty long. Probably not as long as they are on 219, but long enough. Some of the questions had 2 exhibits! I'm not that good at dealing with long question and I had a hard time pacing myself. It was a job to keep from panicing as the time ticked away! (I think these tests weed out those who can't keep a clear head when they are under the gun!) I ended up with less than 10 minutes left. The 3rd one from the end was a killer, so I threw the dice, finished the test, and then came back to it. Then I had time to review 1 or 2 others before time was up.
I definitely felt like celebrating after this one! Thanks all!
