| As you can probably tell by seeing a post from me, I about to take my next test and yep, it's 216. I have to admit, when I first started down this dreary path, I feared it, but after reading the material, studying, taking notes and practice tests, it doesn't seem that bad. Don't get me wrong- I am not the biggest, baddest and most knowledgeable sys admin out there, but as I have learned, if you love what you do and are passionate about your work, you can do anything. I think 217 will be the tough one for me. I get the feeling some times that I haven't learned enough of particular things. I don't know about you, but many times, material that I once knew like the back of my hand for 2 weeks, is now buried away back in the book. I have come across many references to things that I once knew very well, but since I don't actually use all of this stuff I am learning on a daily basis, I have forgotten it and have to reference a book. This bothers me because even though I once learned it, at least the concept, it fades away. On a more positive side, just a month ago we did away with our NT4 network and migrated all of our data to Windows 2000. No problem at all. I cruised through just about everything- databases, FTP, Web, anti-virus, Exchange, all of it went pretty smooth and I am so glad we made the move to Win2K, but still, the mere thought of RAID concepts, RRAS, Group Policies and other components that I don't use much seem like they are gone. I guess the one disadvantage of working for a small business is the lack of using the big toys.
I am just rambling on, but I wanted to just pass on a few observations. Hope everyone is well. I hope to take 216 in about a week. Talk to ya soon!!!

i have a lot of knowledge as network administrator on small and big enviroments. the exam kill me with Certificates, Public Key Infrastructure, some TUFF DNS questions, LOT of questions with "select all that apply", RRAS Policys, etc... was a nightmare.... and the worst> i don't receive any score, only FAIL...... ...... but is a exam..... and is passable.... so i keep the study...
but be carefull: exam now have 65 questions and is MORE dificult than TRASCENDER. normally, trascender have more complexity, but NOT with 70216........
but you can kill the beast...
