| you have and rras server and have fax services installed. when replicateing files via ISDN dialup with a remote office at MIAMI, the replication fails!!!. how should the server be configured?
a- stop fax service
b- enable multilink
c- disable dhcp on the rras server
d- disable ipx/spx
e- install netbeui | |

I would say B.
C, D, E are out, they had nothing to do with it. A maybe because stopping the Fax service would probably free up the modem, but you want to have the fax working cocurrently right?
I think B, because that if there is a fax service, then there is a fax card that requires an analog signal, so it will require an ISDN modem and an analog device. Anyway, by enabling the multilink allows the two spid working together and drop down to 64k if the fax is recieving, which allows the replications to happen. | |

my old teacher say that answer can be A or B. in a scenario without the B option, the ANSWER is A. i see the same question now too much similar without the multilink (the other options are buggy) and the fax answer is the right one........ but why????? what make the fax service that interrupt the rras dial? |
