| me? I dunno... 2002-08-29, 1:20 pm |
| Is there some trick to getting a network card to co-operate with RIS? I have tried multiple cards, one of which near new and purchased with a new machine specifically with intent to do RIS, yet the machine won't boot from the card and the rbfg disk gives a message that the card is not compliant. Is RIS really that particular? | |

| You can click display on the rbfg.exe tool, when accessed from the installation CD ROM, to display the list of 25 PCI NIC's that are compatible. Have you checked the list to see if the NIC's you are using are compatible? Most of them are 3com, if I remember correctly. You can check out the following KB articles, they may address issues you are dealing with. Good luck!

| ...when I tried to use it, none of my adapters were supported (except for one that supported network boot anyway!). Seems that the choices were extremely limited, if I remember right. Good luck! | |
