I have to ask the dumbest question probably ever since in the Micro$oft forums here, but it's something I'm really curious about since I have not ventured to this realm yet.

Why does everyone refer to 216 and 217 as the 'beast'. I thought the 'beast' was the dog from the movie Sandlot? What makes these tests so scary compared to others?

I thought the 'beast' was Milwaukee's Best.

I can't speak for 70-216, because I have yet to take it. As far as 70-217, I found it to be pretty difficult. The questions were long winded, multiple answers, and had quite a few exhibits, all of those are the key ingredients to making a 'beast'. I could barely spell 'Active Directory' after taking that one.

Wasn't it also the stolen "Blur" from the Little Rascals movie?

I had the 2nd worst score on 217 for all my MS exams (Windows 3.51 server being the worst whre I just made passing), I passed by 30 points, it is a pain in the rear, as all those GPO Questions and AD's, that they all look the same after a while... I think 218 was like that...

216 is was not that bad, not too sure why it is the beast...

Perhaps I should buy the Mike Meyers' 216 guide to keep my mojo going during the test?

I got the impression that the questions had a mean devious undertone to them when I took it. It's like, whoever devised this exam, deliberately wanted you to fail.

Zaraspook: I wouldn't doubt it...
