| OK, I'm ready again. Scheduled 70-216 exam. Wanted to do it Friday, June 14. Prometric said it wasn't available. So I scheduled it for Saturday, 12noon at Cuy. Comm. college Metro campus, where I passed both 210 and 215. Free classes don't start until June 24th, can't wait that long. Don't know where the money is coming from for it, but I'll pay it off later, somehow. What I'm starting to worry about now is the unemployment extension running out on me. Don't know how much longer it's gonna last. Guess I'd better start hitting up McD's and BK for applications. Man, I don't want to have to work at fast-food places. They pay even less than unemployment. Sign at a local BK says they pay UP TO $6.00 an hour! Yikes! How can I pay my car note on that?
Just have to get 65 questions that I know...... This is the 4th time!
|
| you mean it is the fourth time you take the 216? You should pass it this time, then. If not, move on and take the 217. It will give you break, and it will make you feel successful again as soon as you pass that test. | |

| eyeccd to be honest with you I would cancel the test it just sounds as if you are not ready to take this exam. I have sent you a couple of Private Messages offering to help and I know there are a lot of members on this forum who are also willing to put the time into helping you.
Either send me a Private Message with any problem areas or post them on this forum and we'll only be to glad to answer them.

If it makes you feel any better, those are the only kinds of jobs I qualify for in today's market, and I have a 2-year credential from a technical institute, several years of experience in development, and all three premimum Microsoft certifications.
The market is really tough these days, and employers demand highly specialized experience and degrees from the best schools for just about anything I.T.-related.

| Divx for the encouragement. It's not much help cause I need to make some $$$$ NOW. Been following up on a few things. Reviewing NetG here at school, and learning about Exchange. Job I applied for specifies the Exchange class. Figure if I can pass 216 tomorrow, before the free 216 class starts June 24, Maybe I could get in an Exchange class, too. I really would like to get the 216 MOC form NH, though. Guess that's too much to ask for is to get the 216 MOC from NH, and then do the Exchange class instead. hey, what's the harm in dreaming?
Hey Frank, never got any of those "instant messages" you mentioned. Probably wouldn't know how to pick them up anyway. I'm not an AOLer. Maybe you could just email 'em to me?
Thanks.

| Failed Again!!!! Argh! 4th tinme, however, this was the best I have done yet. Got many questions I had memeorized answers to, still screw up on sencario questions.
BTW, this was the 2nd time I had paid for it myself. the school took care of the 2nd and 3rd time, and after the 3rd time, I had through hearsay that they didn't want to pay for it anymore. That's why I ddin't do this exam at the school. Besides, School uses Vue exclusively. Much Prefer promteric, but that's another thread.

There's two secenario q. w/ same exact answers. Of course question is differenet, but I know I messed up on those. At least I know where I messed up on this. Question that states the you create a domain with 3 OUs; I won't reveal anything else: I DID sign an NDA; I know I messed up on that.
Gonna hit up school President as soon as I see him for a full refund of tuition. Their literature states that there is an instructor there, and doesn't specify the instructor is for A+, Network+, etc. ONLY. I am NOT getting the kind of help I need. This "school" is history. Y'know, as soon as I mention to them I'm not getting an adequate (! try ANY) "hands-on exp", they make a face like I'm just making excuses. Almost as if when the Jerk was there, he convinced ewveryone you didn'tneed any hands on for ANY ofthe MCSE exams. How can someone apparently as smart as the Jerk was (he was the old MCSE w2K, MCT) they had there) could be so stupid?
Either give me a refund or hire me inand pay me a decent wage as the resident 70-216 "mentor". Either one.

| Sorry to hear of your plight! May I recommend you put the 216 on the back burner for now and do the 218 next instead. It's a much easier one that will help build your confidence, not to mention, overall knowledge. From there, move to the 217 and 219 exams, which will both concentrate on Active Directory and DNS. Once you have passed those three exams, you will surely be in much better shape to tackle the 216 successfully. Good luck! | |

Sorry to hear you're still struggling with this one. If it's any consolation, if you land a position you're ahead of me!
BTW if you haven't set up a test network, you might want to do that now.
