| Are you talking about what Windows uses to authenticate when a user tries to logon? If so then Windows 2000 will authenticate users and applications by using one of two protocols. This is either the NTLM protocol or the Kerberos v5 protocol. Kerberos is the default protocol for authenication on computers that are running Windows 2000. NTLM is the default protocol for authentication in Windows NT 4.0 and fo Windows 9x based computers running Distributed Systems Client. | |

| If you mean this, elaborate...
Message Queuing can be used to send messages to and receive messages from external networks, such as other organizations or other Windows 2000 forests. Message Queuing computers can use various service ports to communicate with external networks through properly configured firewalls that allow communication over those ports. | |

| If you mean you want to check what active sessions you have on a server you can use the command line NETSTAT this will show all active connections to the server or you can use open sessions in computer management. |
