Author The "Beast" has fallen !!

I took and passed 216 today. I see why it's called "The Beast". For those that are preparing for this one, you need to know RRAS, DHCP, RRAS, WINS, RRAS, DNS, RRAS, VPNs, RRAS, Certificates, RRAS, and a little subnetting. Did I mention you need to know RRAS? The exam that I got had AT LEAST 25 RRAS questions. I lost count. Lots of long detailed questions with exhibits. Only one subnetting question which made no sense at all, probably missed that one. Took me a good 2 1/2 hours. As far as study material, I have to say that Transcender was right on the money with the topics and material. Also, I'd like to thatnk Frank for his QODs and the rest of you guys for your input. I can't say this enough, you HAVE to have hands-on with this one. I would have failed for sure if I was not the NT 4 Remote Access Admin at the last place I worked. Even though I left there 2 years ago, some of the experience stuck with me and helped me through this one.
Well, my next will probably be 220 but I'll still stop by here every so often.

I agree, when I took the exam also, those questions in length were endless.

Fantastic job!!! Good luck with 220. Say, did they have any RRAS questions on the test?

Yep, just a few.
To top it all off, the nearest Prometric site from where I live is a 100 mile drive (each way). It would have been a really long drive home had I not passed. Once again, thanks to everyone.

Just curious, don't you want to do the 218 and closes the MCSA ? It's really within your reach, I mean just a 'glory' thing along the way to MCSE 2000 , since you've cleared all the core exams ?

I do plan on taking 218 after I finish my MCSE. According to an email I received from MS my 2 electives from my NT 4 MCSE will also apply to my W2k MCSE (I saved it and have it in writing)which means I still need at least 1 design exam. I'll then take the 218 for the MCSA which will also give me some padding in case they decide to retire 1 of my electives. I figure eventually either Proxy 2.0 or Exchange 5.5 will get retired but hopefully not soon since they are both electives for the MCSA.
