| I often felt all these materials are great, but nothing is like real hands-on, that make the difference. That's why I'm concentrating now, which means more investment | |

| Well i did pass the exam today first attemp. Five weeks of straight studies.
This was a beast and it paid off to reread at least fives times over all the topics.
Prepare wisely... | |

| I have the Sybex study guide and the Transcenders, but no Win2K Server test machine. Would you recommend that I set one up (I could do that for a couple of hundred dollars)? I'd rather not spend the money, but I will if I have to, rather than break my 100% pass rate (6 exams so far).

| First of all, congrats to you cross36!
I have a suggestion for people that only have 1 computer to work with. VMWare makes a product that will let you install and run multiple OSs at the same time on 1 computer. You can download a fully functional 30 day trial at http://www.vmware.com. The only drawback is that it requires a machine with plenty of ram because you are actually running multiple OSs on 1 box as "virtual" machines. We use it in one of our labs where I teach, so student can test different OS weaknesses. It saves on having to have numerous machines setup with different OSs. (No, I don't work for VMWare) | |

| You can also network the different OS to one another! VMW is the bomb! The coolest thing is that NetMon can actually do a lot for you here, because it's on the same card. Check it out, play with it. BTW, those of us who are MCT's (don't know if it's still on) I got a WS version free.
Definately GREAT advise! |
