| passed today, no score. Was just as tough as it's reputation. Took about 2 hours to finish it. The one change I noticed is the # of questions...It used to be 55 until recently, today it was 65. As for study materials I used the MOC book, which was not very good at all but I complemented it with "Troubleshooting Windows 2000 TCP/IP" by Tom and Deb Shinder. That book was excellent, I highly reccomend it for this exam...it pretty much filled in all the gaps that moc didn't cover. I am sooooo glad I this exam is over with, it was a real nail-biter.
Good luck to all of you who are still studying for it.

| I've taken the 216 exam and I think that this book was the best:

Good luck and waste no time when you are taking this exam.

| Luimcp 2002-02-24, 8:25 pm |
| What kind of questions were there.? You have any notes you were reading from...?
Thanks Lui | |
| merav21 2002-02-25, 8:26 pm |
| Lui:
There were ALOT of DHCP(a few questions from DHCP were easy- answer was either authorize the scope or Server in active directory) DNS questions, a few WINS questions, a couple on certificates..ummmm...RRAS questions- remember that if you are implementing a remote access solution, you will have to install the DHCP relay agent on the RRAS server if you want to dynamically assign TCP/IP options to the clients dialing in. There were a few questions that involved that scenario. other than the MOC book and the tcp/ip book mentioned in my first post- i also used the cramsession from the brainbuzz site to re-enforce the material the day before the exam, and I also used the transcender exam to get a feel for the type of questions and material on the exam. the transcenders were good, i can reccomend them if you get your hands on them- as long as you use them the right way--as in take them to find out where you are deficient, then go back and study the material again...well im sure you know. hope this helps you out a bit.

| No wonder you pass, what a gruelling processess you underwent inorder to seal the 216 exam. I think I'm intimated by this long..and tedious preparations. | |
