70-216 - subnetting & RRAS

I'm gonna need some help with that one everyone. Maybe some QoDs for me. i've read the book for 70-216 the ms press one 3 times and bought several other books, setup an network at home and played around.

I spent 2 days on subnetting and couldn't understand how to divide a network into several segments. I've gone to some how to sites for subnetting still no good.
I've read the articles on

Has anyone got a very simple guide on how to subnet?
Another thing I need help with is RRAS policies.
