weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

four down, three to go!

i am so glad that one is in my past. now it's off to florida on 10/15 to visit mom, then new orleans to visit dad, and 218 for the MCSA when i return.

the contributors to this board are invaluable to me - especially cm2gj's questions that seem to track exactly along the lines of my confusion!!

thanks to all.

I use Sybex books, TestOut CDS and do practice exams from Transcender and Beachfront - that and lots of home lab practice. NetSlider placed a link to a software demo from www.vmware.com that can simulate additional hosts for your practice network using any operating system out there. So if you can't afford to set up a 3-4 station network for practice, this will turn one machine into a virtual many.

Freaks subnetting guide (mcsefreak.com) was quite helpful as well as the input on this board.

So that's my story on 216

p.s. - and thanks a lot you guys!

Congrats on the pass! Sorry I didn't notice sooner, but I've been real busy lately. It's all down hill from here! Good luck to you!

I feel really good about the downhill part. Hopefully I won't break my leg or run into a tree on the way!

Passing is always good news! That is passing the half way mark, 218 will get you the MCSA, may go get SQL that will get you the MCSE and MCDBA... good luck!

I guess SD is much nicer than FL, FL is still muggy as hell...

that's my plan exactly twist, 218 for the "A", then 221 & 228 for the "E", then 229 for the "DBA"...then a little rest before moving on to Cisco!

and i'm totally spoiled after 12 years in SD. i grew up in orlando and do not miss the humidity one bit!

I am looking into the 228 and 229 myslef... the books are so THICK! I have some knowledge, but not enough to pass the test, I am looking at least of 2 to 3 months of studying... I have been studying for the last two months or so... it is painful!

Good thing that my boss would not have minded me studying... since, I am signing my own paycheck... It was so slow for the summer, but it has picked up and I will be pretty busy for the next couple month, hope to make enough money for Christmas!!! Good luck on your study, and travel safe!

218 will seem like a walk in the Park.

I wish you the best for your Future!
