| I passed today with score 720. The test is tough. I couldn't believe I did it. 90% of questions I'd never seen before.
Used: Transcender, Fravo, Troytech - they are all far from reality.

| Actually from the MCSE tests I've taken, this one is the closest to reality. Far fewer questions were completly impossible, than those other tests I've seen.
If you understand DHCP, DNS, WINS, Certificate Services, IPSEC, Novell/Unix/Microsoft integration, and most importantly RRAS (including setting up remote dial in access, VPN, Demand dial routing, Lan routing, RIP, NAT, DHCP Relay). You will also be tested on subnetting and supernetting. Unless you are completely on top of your TCP/IP addressing structure you will not answer those questions correctly.
Compared to 215, this test is very accurate, and very much true to life.
If you plan to be a good admin/engineer you will need to know this stuff like the back of your hand. Using Troytech, dumps or any other "aide" that simply gives the questions and answeres will set you up for failure, both on the test and in real life. | |

| I think that Joe Black is correct in that this test focuses on scenarios that do happen in a live Windows 2000 domain. If you want to admin a 2K domain of any size, you have to know DNS, DHCP, WINS, Remote Access. That is fact. The exam I took was probably was weighted a little too heavily towards RRAS (IMHO), but it was pretty fair and did cover DNS, DHCP and WINS well. Lear the material and not the questions, and you will do OK. Good luck everyone.
