A few questions for you
2. You are creating a DHCP scope for your 192.168.1.32/28 subnet. The subnet consists of Windows 2000, Windows 98, and Windows 95 computers. You have two UNIX computers on this subnet that will be assigned the two highest available static IP addresses. The subnet's default gateway will be assigned the lowest available IP address on the subnet. Which scope should you create on your DHCP server?
A. 192.168.1.34 – 192.168.1.46
B. 192.168.1.34 - 192.168.1.44
C. 192.168.1.33 - 192.168.1.45
D. 192.168.1.34 - 192.168.1.61
E. 192.168.1.33 - 192.168.1.60
Answer B
Reason : 192.168.1.32 (Subnet Address), 192.168.1.33 (Lowest avaliable IP) Reserved for Gateway, 192.168.1.34-44 (avaliable scope IP’s), 192.168.1.45-46 (highest 2 IP) Reserved for Unix machines, 192.168.1.47 (Broadcast address)
3. You install Network Monitor on a Windows 2000 Server to analyze ISO and TP4 communications to the Microsoft Exchange Server on your network. How should you configure Network Monitor?
A. Change the Temporary Capture Directory.
B. Copy ISO.dll and TP4.dll to Netmon Subdirectory.
C: Copy ISO.DLL and TP4.DLL to the NetMon\Parsers subdirectory.
D: Modify the Parser.ini.
E. Modify the Netmon.ini.
Answers : C, D. [Agreed]
Reason : To analyze the ISO and TP4 communications, you need their parsers to be copied to the NetMon\Parsers directory. Next, you need to to modify the Parser.ini file to notify it of the availability of the new parsing engines.
4. Your network uses an address of 172.30.0.0/16. Your projected growth for the network indicates a need for at least 25 subnets with a minimum of 1,000 hosts per subnet. What subnet mask should you configure to meet these needs?
A: 255.255.255.192
B. 255.255.240.0
C. 255.255.252.0
D. 255.255.255.248
Answer : C
Reason : Max subnets = 62, Hosts per subnet = 1022, Subnet ID = 172.30.0.0, Subnet Host range = 172.30.0.1 - 172.30.3.254, Broadcast = 172.30.3.255
5. To centralize administration you implement a Remote Authentication Dial-In Service (RADIUS) server. Each of your branch offices will support their own Routing and Remote Access Server. You remove the default remote access policy. What should you do to implement one company policy that requires all dial-up communications to use 40-bit encryption, and require secure communications?
A. Create one remote access policy on each Routing and Remote Access server
B. Create one remote access policy on the RADIUS server.
C. Set encryption to Basic in the remote access policy.
D. Set encryption to Strong in the remote access policy or policies
E. Enable the Secure Server IPSec policy on the RADIUS server
F. Enable the Server IPSec policy on the RADIUS server
Answer : B, C
Reason : To implement a single company policy and a 40 bit encryption with security, you should configure a remote access policy on the RADIUS server and set encryption to BASIC.

| Just for fun I thought I would ask XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX if they had their software for immediate download after the purchase and they said sure it's available.
So I blew 25 bucks and can only find that they will mail it to me for delivery in 5 to seven days. No download, other than the demo software is available. The phone number to them is out of India. Surely that proves they are an honest group.... Or they don't eat cows.
Waiting with anticipation to see if they come thru. If they don't, I will make alot of posts warning others of this....
They have 3 more days to get it to me.
By the way, they won't answer any of my follow up email.

| was there really a need to post a mini dump here? | |
| Mn_Murphy 2001-05-31, 2:51 pm |
| I am not sure if you are refering to the minidump of the first spam or my response to finding out if they are real or a scam, They did have the exact word for word test questions on the sample test.
I had just passed the 70-215 test the day before it was posted.
I'm sure many other members of the forum also are wondering if this is a scam.
I myself use Transender and Examcram to get ready for a test. I'm just testing the testing prep. waters, so to speak.

| the original post was what i was responding to. Those are all questions I saw on the 240 exam. Since they come from the same pool of questions I would say that the original post was a mini-dump. | |

| Well, Here I am on day 14 and still no product to be found. Scam? you decide |
