| Hi, I am new to the forum but I would like to ask this question.
I came across this question in a practice test and I just want to ask if y'all consider it correct. Thanks.

Your network uses an address of 172.30.0.0/16. Your projected growth for the network indicates a need for at least 25 subnets with a minimum of 1,000 hosts per subnet. What subnet mask should you configure to meet these needs?
A: 255.255.252.0
Max subnets = 62
Hosts per subnet = 1022
Subnet ID = 172.30.0.0
Subnet Host range = 172.30.0.1 - 172.30.3.254
Broadcast = 172.30.3.255 | |

| According to my calculations; 255.255.252.0 would work.
however.........
255.255.248.0 might be a better match as far as the subnets go. It gives you 30 possible subnets and 2046 hosts per subnet which I believe is a closer solution.
Was 248 a choice? | |

| That is the problem with "braindumps". There were no choices.
But thanks Denton, 255.255.242.0 was my answer.

| I meant to write:
"255.255.248.0 was my answer. "
I guess I should join a typing forum.
