| I failed 70-216 on my first try with an oh-so-close score of 580. I'd like to get some input on a retake strategy. Failing costs too much for me (both financially and mentally), so I have to pass on the 2nd try.
I'm not under any time constraints and I don't have to take the tests in any certain order, so I'm considering a few different options and would appreciate any effective strategies to help me put this test behind me.
Here's some of my ideas so far, feel free to add your own:
1) study 70-216 for a few more weeks then retake.
2) study 70-217 and pass it then use some of the knowledge from it to help build upon what I've learned for the 70-216 test.
3) Take an elective test to help rebuild some self-confidence then retackle 70-216.
4) Take all of my other tests and do the 70-216 last like Antix did in this thread: http://examnotes.net/forums/showthr...?threadid=25014

| I failed 210 on my first attempt but then all the exams after that including 216 I passed on first attempt. I am now MCSE2000. My advice is to don't give up. For this exam you must rely on your understanding of the objectives rather than memorising. Make sure you know the following:
1.When to use DCHP relay
2.CA: when to use standalone CAs
3.Advantages and disadvantages of EAP,PAP,CHAP,MSCHAP etc. Which one encrypts and which one is texted.
4. Subnetting. Look for incorrect network ID or incorrect subnet masks.
5.WINS:replication and the calculation of convergence times.
6.DNS conceptions and B-node,P-nodes,H-nodes,M-nodes what are they?
7.Find practice problems on the net.
8.find more practice problems.
Remember once you pass 216 the other exams are easier except if you choose 228 or 224.
Hang in there and Good luck Champ! |
