Hi

I just passed the 215 today with 880 and thought that rather than wallow in my glory that I was 2 down with 5 to go, I would read ahead to this forum to get some tips on the 216. Boy! has this brought me down to earth! It appears to me that this is one hell of a tricky exam and rather than take a couple of days off studying, I should spend every waking hour with my head stuffed in a 216 Book! Please someone tell me it's not true....is there light at the end of the long dark tunnel?!!

I passed by two questions. I scored a 640 on the beast. But a pass is a pass. Use everything you can think of to study for this monster. They are not even remotely fair on this. Know your subnetting and cider notations. That will get you 3 questions fairly easily. Do not underestimate this exam it is the gate keeper for W2K.
Take 217 before this one if you can there is a lot that translates over. I did not have the choice I have to take the class then pass the exam to keep going with work paying the tab. If you have a question on subnetting pull down Freaks guide at
www.mcsefreak.com
It came real hard for me so I try to warn everyone about it.

Best of luck

Thanks for the advice.
I wish I could take the 217 first, but like you I have to pass the previous course before I can go to the next Class. Still, WHEN I pass this, it should all be plain sailing!!!!

Boy do I understand that. Get a book on 217 and read through it just to give yourself an Idea of some of the terms they are going to use. (PTR SOA and so on) They use anything they can think of to knock you out of the saddle on this one. If you are doing a 2 week study before sitting the exams then I would give it at least 3.
Best of luck
