| Hi Guys
I want to take MS exams for MCSA. But I have to travel to another city to take the exams. This costs me money and time. So I want to take 2 exams each time. But I don't know how much days are allowed to be between the two, can I take one today and the other tomorrow as example? and what if I had failed the first?
Thanks guys in advance for your help.

| Yes, you can even take the 2 exams on the same day, if you choose. If you fail one time you can retake it as soon as you like. However after 2 fails they usually make you wait 14 days before a retake. | |

| Thanks Varder for your replay.
My plan is to start with 70-216 and 70-218. That is because I think that my knowledge of Cisco stuff & networking in general will help me to start with these exams. Any suggestions, guys?

| Bad move, unless your understand the small features of Windows inside and out.
The MS exams don't test you on general networking concepts such as the purposes of certain services or how packets are constructed. It's assumed you have this knowledge already. They test you on whether you understand Microsoft technology.

| I understand what you said, but I was talking about the concepts.
Types of protocols, Name resolution types and steps, Routing protocols, Packet filters, NAT and Remote access technology concepts are all covered in the CCNP. That is about 70-90% of concepts in 70-216.
Beside that, windows is not new thing for me,
I Know about windows installation, device drivers, RAID etc.
What I mean is, that the 70-216 will be easier for me cos I know most of concepts, and some of practices.
The question is: Will I need to read contents related to 70-210 & 70-215 to prepare for 70-216 or just only 70-216 study guides (sure with hands on) will be enough? |
