I need some suggestions from the 'techies' in this forum. I have a 12 gig laptop with win xp installed, this is where all of my personal files are kept. I want to create a dual boot and add win2k but from what i understand I would have to had win2k installed FIRST and then add winxp. Is there anyway I can do it the other without having to start from scratch or compromising my xp files? Please help!!

Don't think so. The older OS always has to be installed first. Just the way it is. And you would have to format the HD, which means losing all XP settings, (and all of XP for that matter.)

You could use Partition Magic 8 to resize some partitions, then install the next OS.
Should be pretty easy.

if i recall, i think you can do a dual boot with either win2k or xp. Your suppose to have the older OS first in cases with (95/98) win2k will see the xp and should create a option to use xp or 2000. Start the computer in xp and read the 2000 CD. And install new not upgrade.
