WarrenStreet's computer has APM enabled, and this is causing problems, it sometimes stops responding (hangs) at other times he receives a STOP error message and he has to reboot his system.

You are not sure at this point if the system issues are APM related or not. What steps should you use to determine if his unstable system behavior occurs because of an APM issue. (Choose 2)

A. Replace the BIOS with a newer version.

B. In the registry, go to HKLM | Hardware | APM and change the APM parameter value from 1 to 0.

C. Disable APM (on the APM tab of the Power Options tool in Control Panel).

D. Disable APM in the BIOS.

Good luck and see you tomorrow for the answer!!

A might be a solution, but is not a troubleshooting step

B might work, but why tinker with the registry when an option like C is available?

So I'm going with C & D

BTW, Jonhiker's link fits this question perfectly.
