| As someone about to take their first MS exam on Tuesday, I would like to thank you for clearing up a query I had.
It is over the minimum requirements for memory in Win2k pro - some online sites say 32Mb others say 64Mb.
I was going with 64Mb as that is what was quoted in my Smartforce course but it's still disturbing to see the 32Mb on various websites.
Anyway having done a search of this thread I found the link posted by Spid to the Microsoft article which confirmed the original 32Mb spec is no longer relevant and that 64Mb is the MS quoted minimum.
Thanks a lot - this really seems to be a knowledgeable forum.

| I think you'll find a lot of good information on this site, as well as knowledgeable people. We are all here for a reason, to help each other, and gain knowledge. (Despite the rumor, we can't know it all. )
Good luck to you in your future studies and welcome aboard!

| 64mb is for the server not the pro.
good luck on the test | |

| However the link that Spid provided does eventually lead to the following
http://www.microsoft.com/windows200...eqs/default.asp
which does now state that 64Mb is the minimum for professional and 128Mb is the minimum for server.
I've found that not all of the online test questions have been updated to reflect this - so be careful everyone!
Trust Microsoft to keep us all on our toes!!

Well it isn't 32MB anymore. That was the original spec. for Win2K Pro. It has since changed....
Professional - 64MB Minimum
Server - 128MB Minimum
