An easy one for Wednesday.

Your have a Windows 2000 Professional computer. It has one NTFS partition. You
have a directory called "Docs" containing a file name "Foo.doc".

"Foo.doc" is uncompressed. You move the file to a compressed directory called "Compressed Docs". What happens to the "Foo.doc" file?

A. It will become compressed.

B. It will remain uncompressed.

C. "Foo.doc" inherits all of the exisiting NTFS permissions from the "Compressed Docs" folder and "Foo.doc" becomes compressed.

D. "Foo.doc" inherits all of the exisiting NTFS permissions from the "Compressed Docs" folder and "Foo.doc" remains uncompressed.

Good luck and see you tomorrow for the answer!!

And the answer is....B

Easy way to remember it...."Move the same retains" In all other cases it will inherit. Also remember that file permissions/attributes override folder attributes.

Nice job everyone!!
