NIC is network interface card. is just a network card!!

PCMCIA is just a standard of small cards for use most on laptops to upgrade capabilities. you can find Audio PCMCIA, PCMCIA NICs, PCMCIA modems, PCMCIA wireless NICs, PCMCIA USB adaptors, PCMCIA memory modules, etc.

I think you should read a A+ book, mate. It would give you some background knowledge before attempting you Microsoft exams.
