| Hi
I have win2000 prof machine which was a member of a domain. When I used to logon on the same workstation with administrator and password i was able to use a software(for accounting purpose)When i logged on the domain that software didnt work. But the problem is not this.
My accounts guy got shifted to another place so in order to configure him for that network i changed the ip and connected him to the workgroup as there is no domain. After restarting, when i logon i can see username and passoword but i couldnt find the box saying logon to this computer.I just want him to logon to his computer as otherwise the software is not working.I tried clicking the options but no use.How can i get the logon to this machine box?

| Not sure if I understand you right, but here goes:-
To change from domain to workgroup you need to go into properties of my computer, network identification and change the settings there.
It sounds like you have done this bit right and you now log on to workgroup - if this is correct then you don't see the log on to machine option - with workgroups you only log on to local machine and don't have the choice of logging to domain account as there is no domain.
Hope that clears things up for you.
