Author Leaving for a while
Spid

2003-03-07, 11:25 am

Hi folks,

Sorry to say this, but I'll be leaving the forums for a while.

I will continue to monitor the 210 forum to make sure the spamming and braindump posts do not happen, and I'll give a hearty congrats to people who pass the exam.

The reason - well let's just say I had an exchange in one of the other forums and I need to cool off for an extended period of time. Might be a couple of weeks, maybe months.

If I decide not to come back, I'll let you all know.

Best of luck in your studies.

Aww, come on Spid. There's no reason why one little heated debate should drive you to leave the forums. We all will have disagreements at one time or another, that's just the way it goes. Do yourself a favor and go buy a 6-pack or whatever and drink your anger away, and then come back tomorrow feeling refreshed, or hungover depending on how much you drink.

I second the above, as I have already stated in the thread that got you upset. don't react in the heat of the moment.

HE'S NOT WORTH IT!!!!!

Hey Spid, take a vacation for a short while but make sure you come back soon.

Arguments are going to happen when you have a group of people who are passionate about what they love to do. In our case its all about computers.

Enjoy your R & R,

Qivalon~

Sorry Spid but I don't see a reason to leave there. Maybe you have other reasons. Maybe you don't. I guess it's personal and none of my business.

But all I read there is techies stating their differing viewpoints. sure it got a little heated but no reason to leave.

But, it's your decision. As an unpaid volunteer to help others you've earned the right to do whatever you want.

Spid and Someguy are both very valuable Members of the Board.
They have been with the Forum long before me, almost from the Beginning.

I have followed Spid's Posts, since i became Member, i cannot say much about Someguy, since he hangs out in different Forums, but i have seen him help others.
I have seen Spid posting Help to members numerous times, he helped me when i just started.
I was at this Point once before, but a lot of Members e-mailed me, asking to stay.
(ok, only two ).
They convinced me to continue, i hope, we can do the same for Spid. I would hate to see you leave, my Friend!
First Pavlov, now you. This can't be happening! Think about it!
It is all about helping others, you know?
Please stay!

Arguments are good every once in a while. Unfortunately, the downside is they can be tolling emotionally. Try to cool off for a while & hopefully rationality will prevail. I leave you off on a humorous quote by author Dave Barry:

"I argue very well. Ask any of my remaining friends. I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this, and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me."

Absolutely love them,Dimitar!
I will e-mail you Pavlov's Address, so you can ask her yourself.
She's been busy remodeling the House and got some Family members staying with her.
