| I hope I don't sound to ignorant by asking but I keep getting the 2 confused on the practice exams. Either I studied wrong or they word the questions really weird. | |

| local policy is the policy(rules for a specific users) for that machine locally. It doesn't follow the user around the network, only where the machine has that local policy set. Group policy is a policy that an administrator placed a user into a group and set a policy for that group instead of an individual policy. Now that policy follows that user where ever the user logs onto in the network. (any machine)I hope that made sense. |
