Anyone know how to install nt 4.0 professional on a 8GB drive, utilizing the maximum amount of the disk as the primary partition?

Good question.

I'm not sure if its possible during the install, so you'll have to wait for an NT 4 guru to come along. You'll have to install SP 4 afterwards if you want it to support more than 8 GB.

sorry, no such nt 4.0 professional in the world. If what you means is nt 4.0 workstation or server, try using partition magic after the installation of os and service pack applied.

Here are some good Techent articles for your reference.

It's been awhile since I've installed NT4.0 from scratch. We get around partition size limitations by using image files and Norton Ghost.
